Delay between new mail sound and new mail

Seems to be something to do with your system.

For me, the sound plays as soon as the popup appears.

I'm running 4.62 on Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Hopefully someone can suggest what you can check for.

I'm using PM 4.62 now.  There is a 15 second delay between the time I hear the new mail sound and the time the new mail appears in the new mail folder.  With older versions the two happened nearly simultaneously.  PM is set to refresh the new mail folder every 5 seconds.  Why is there a delay and can I do anything about it?
