how to force PMmail back to single display in Windows 7?
I think the coordinates you are looking for are stored in the user's pmail.ini file on the application window line.

In order to use two different setups with two different values saved you would need to use:

-Y <filename>
Excellent. I copied my pmail.ini to pmail_single.ini and pmail_dual.ini.  Now I have two shortcuts in my start meny, one for each monitor setup.  I knew there was a easy solution for daily use.

Hi,

I use normally Pegasus on a dual monitor set up, where pegasus comes up on my second display (not the main display).  Now I am traveling with my laptop without my second display.  Unfortunately, pegasus still opens on my non-existing second display, thus I cannot see it.  How can I force it back to the main display? (All other windows programs seem to know that I do not have my second display present).

Sincerely,

Tangofil

STATE.PMJ (in your mailbox/newmail directory) contains all window positions, you can either delete it or modify the proper positions for the respective windows (using a plain text editor).

Thanks!

Good suggestion but it did not help.  I removed the State.pmj, but it did not help.  I can still start Pegasus mail, and jump to it with alt-tab, but I never see the window itself.  Any other suggestions?

In order to use two different setups with two different values saved you would need to use:

-Y <filename>
Specify an alternative name for the Pegasus Mail User Preferences file, PMAIL.INI. This switch tells Pegasus Mail that it should read and save all preferences information in the file you give, which must not have a path associated with it (it must be a simple filename). This is mostly useful if you run Pegasus Mail from two different machine with different screen resolutions, since it allows you to define settings specific to each machine.

Jerry appears to be right: Application window rectangle is obviously the proper entry in your case.
