[quote user="Jerry Wise"][quote user="alsandor"]

If you have a link to the 4.62 version, I and a friend of mine would very much appreciate the information.

I had a note hang up on me, then when I restarted Pegasus, I got the following: Mailbox is locked.  This happens, so I press Continue and the Mailbox is locked panel becomes greyed out and behind it appears a standard Windows screen which says Pegasus for Windows has stopped working, that I can search for a solution online (yeah, right) or close the program.  That, oddly enough, closes the program.  So, I have a Mailbox is locked which persistently creates a Program has stopped working.  There are no other options.  The details are:

Do you know where your home and new mailbox locations are on drive? Use win explorer or other file manager or command prompt to navigate there and first rename any *.pmw or *.-mx files to *.bak

The delete any *.lck file. Then try to restart winpm-32 again. If it starts and works correctly then problem was with an outgoing message that was not able to be sent. Rename them one by one until you find the problem outgoing message.

It appears you are using and older 4.52 version with a newer win7 system. I would suggest you might want to consider update to v4.62 as it includes fixes and updates and some have to with handling of long lined messages and replies which may cause problems with that older version.

After you get back in to winpm-32 successfully please post output of Help, About, Info button display and save a copy as a .txt file you know where to find. It will show version and  OS and home and new mail box locations and it always important to know that information.

Thanks, but that did not work.  I found only one .-mx file (.pmx) and no .pmw file.  I renamed it to .bak and deleted the .lck, as you suggested, but the problem persists.

I noticed starting it up during a reboot that it stalled at Message box (or something of the sort) 25.

 That worked!  Thanks!

I know where my mailboxes are located as I define the location as being on my partition.  But good to know about About :-)

New mail messages are *.cnm files in new mail location. To eliminate those close winpm-32 and go and rename the *.cnm to *.cnm.bak and then restart winpmail again. If all is well you can then rename one by one or in small groups until you find the problem message. You can then inspect that problem message with Notepad just to view what is in there and who it was from.

There was a problem with older version and Spamhalter and zero byte files also and that too is fixed with install of 4.62 version. Let us know if you need help with update to 4.62 version. Are you operating standalone or from a server install?

I ended up sending the message and that solved the problem.

I must say I have not found a 4.62 version yet.  I did find and install a 4.61 version.  If you have a link to the 4.62 version, I and a friend of mine would very much appreciate the information.

Thanks.
