AW: Name / Comment of an E-mail Template permanently lost

This has been passed to David Harris weeks ago, but if it will get in the cleanup v4.63 or the next major version is unknown.  Obviously the fix is not as simple as it looks.

Good Day,

When trying to save a created e-mail as a permanent or temporary template for later usage a small window appears where a name should be given to the template. But after saving the template, that name does not appear within the template administration window. Only the subject of the created e-mail appears. But in case no subject has been given the template list shows also no name.

I found this bug already described here, but without workaround:

Are there any news in this regard? Presently we use Pmail 4.61 Full German Version.

Workaround (V4.62):

Enter the template name in the Mailadressfield before click on save button and only press the o.k. button when the small window appears.

Hi Peggy,

It works, but this is not the question.

When leaving the "To:" and "Subject:" fields of a new e-mail form empty and pressing the button "Save", then the small pop-up window "Save message as template" appears. Now only a Comma has been automatically set as template name by Pmail.

And now try to change this name! Of course you could change the name, but after saving your new template name is not being taken over by Pmail and only the Comma appears in the template list.

Agreed but as a work around when saving a message as stationery you enter the name you want to use in the To: and Subject: fields rather then entering them after in the save process.

Hi Thomas,

We will do so. But could you agree that this is a bug which should be forwarded to David Harris to be solved within the next Pmail release?
