Changing default size of columns in opened folder

<quote>Try it with the window un-maximized and check that the option to save the desktop state between sessions is selected. (Tools | Options | Basic Settings).</quote>

I've checked the dekstop-state.

Having this window floating has worked - but only in the 'New Mail'-Folder [:(]

But what I've found (and this is IMHO strange and unusual behavior):

Pegasus seems to store the defaults, but not applying them!

When opening another folder there are the same (old small) sizes, but then 'Folder/…/Apply default…' will give my sizes [:)]

I really thought 'default' means 'do it when not otherwise stated' and not 'do it when asked for' [;)]

It seems that layouts are stuck to windows and not to folders as I thought - maybe a feature to come??.

Hi Folks,
I'm running 4.62 on Win7/64bit.

Double-clicking a folder in the left tab will open it, but the sizes of the columns are not what I want (especially the 'Subject' is too small). It is possible to drag the separator to increase the size (btm: why does dragging stop after approx. 2 cm and has to be repeated until the final size is reached?).

In "Folder/Default size and layout/use this window's layout as default" I click this item. I close this folder, and reopen ist (or another).

I see the old (too small) sizes again!
What's going wrong there?

And because it seems to fit in this topic: It is possibly to rearrange the position of the columns and/or adding some new?

Try it with the window un-maximized and check that the option to save the desktop state between sessions is selected. (Tools | Options | Basic Settings).
