If the settings file MERCURY.INI has been damaged it can usually be restored from the backup copies in MERCURY.BAK or MERCURY.BK2 (all in the main Mercury directory).

I have XAMPP version 2.5 installed on Windows 7 (historically this has run great); I'm a novice at configuring Mercury and tried to set it up - obviously incorrectly.

Now it fails within seconds of starting up with the message "Mercury/32 Core Processing Module v4.62 has stopped working ".

Is there anyway to return it to original settings without reinstalling XAMPP ?
