Transfer to new Pegasus Mail Program

I'm in the process of upgrading to a new computer. So far, haven't been able to figure out how to transfer messages and folders from the existing Pegasus program to the Pegasus program on the new computer. Is that even possible? All suggestions appreciated!

If you have installed to the default drive:\pmail in the past then this is pretty easy just copy the whole c:\pmail directory and subdirectories to the new system and setup a shortcut the the winpm-32.exe program.  If you want to upgrade top a new version do this after you have run Pegasus Mail to verify the transfer works.

If you were installed in the C:\Program Files directory and you are moving to a Win7 system then provide us with a copy of your current Help | About Pegasus Mail | Info.  Just copy and paste the text into a reply.

This is a real old single user setup where the mail goes into the c:\pmail\mail directory specifically.  It should  work on Win7 as well.

Personally though I would

1.    move the mail from c:\pmail\mail to c:\pmail\mail\admin then

2.    run pconfig.exe and reset the home and new mail directory to c:\pmail\mail\~n then

3.    create a pmail.usr using Notepad (or other ASCII editor) in c:\pmail\mail containing

; PMAIL.USR Pegasus Mail user database.
A;Admin;Mail Administrator

to create and run as a admin user.

This will bring you into the latest mailbox configuration.
