Interesting, it wasn't behaving before, but now, after removing signatures and starting from scratch with your detailed look to make sure all is in order, it is back to working proper.

New emails on each identity IS showing up as originally per Pre-Crash.   So far so good.

I will keep a close eye on those sigs to make sure they are correct and complete, if all goes well and fingers crossed, we should be good to go.

Thank you in advance for your assistance in correcting

a problem I am experiencing.  My pc harddrive crashed

so had to reInstall everything including Pegasus v462.

After installation of core programs etc. I moved previous

preCrash 'MAIL' directory to replace newly installed 'MAIL'

directory, I was able to salvage everything as before.....

Except having problem with Signature Default not sticking

with multi identities.  I create a new outbound mail and

all works well, but signature does 

a) not appear in new blank outbound mail 

b)  nor does it appear in recipients copy of what I sent

Appreciate any suggestions to correct as I have already

searched forum and didn't see an answer (I may have missed

it somewhere).

I have full back up of preCrash MAIL directory and can

reinstall new Pegasus to reAdjust for it to work.

Signatures are important in the different identities business

wise, the thought of cut&paste every outbound email with

a special signature is daunting.

Feel free to connect in any way any suggestions that could

rectify the issue.

I love Pegasus for many years and tell many about my

positive experiences with it.

Signature file selection and settings are per identity so recheck for each identity and set accordingly while running as the desired identity.

Hi Jerry,  Thank you for your help & reply.

Yes, I went into each identity.  As that identity I make sure the Signature was correct and chose the APPLY & then the SAVE button.  Closed Pegasus, and restarted to make sure it accepted and will reload selections properly.

After restarting Pegasus, I went into specific identity, created new email,  signature choice IS correct in showing my saved choice for that identity to show up in the drop down box located above the text area body of message of a new email.   BUT...... signature doesnt show inside body of message as it used to do last week and for years.  AND sig doesnt show up in recipients email either. 

I also removed sig, applied, saved empty, closed, and restarted Peg, and then put the signature back,  applied, saved, etc .  and still have same issue as above,  it all looks like it should show but no show at creation of new email and no show at delivery.   Thats why I am posting forum for help, I dont know what else to do.  I very much appreciate your help with this head scratcher.......

When you look at Tools, Options, Outgoing.. and Signatures is the block in that dialog checked to add variant on creation? Check per username and per identity. Do you have, for each, defined Local, Internet and both plain text and formatted for each identity and each type?

I assume you also have set to use multipart/alternative.  Here it works as per settings with v4.51 on NT4, v4.62 on win7-64 for each username and for idenity and I am  using POP3 and SMTP on two different servers and connections. No LAN or no IMAP used at this time.
