I just thought that it might have taken at most 15 minutes to figure out the exact match by trial and error since there aren't myriads of options, are there?

I cannot get the SMTP outgoing mail to work in Pegasus as I cannot exactly match the settings from Win7 LiveMail (which works just fine).

I have tried and tried and no luck. I can also get the same email account to work from another computer using WinXP Pro with OE.

Any chance there is something that will tell me how to match the settings to Pegasus?

Ex; Log On using clear text authentication - what is equiv in Pegasus?

Ex; My server requires authentication - use same settings as incoming mail... what is equiv in Pegasus?

Ex; This server requires a secure connection (SSL) - what is equiv in Pegasus?

Did you ever take a look at your SMTP settings at Tools => Internet options? IMO this is pretty self explaining, and if not consult the online help via the respective dialog button(s) (below the German version where Help = Hilfe):
