Installed new version, lost all old mail and folders

I don't think your maildata has gone ... but Pegasus can't access it.

You're using Win7. Did Pegasus run there with that configuration before? Normaly it can't be:
WINPMAIL.EXE directory: C:\Program Files\PMail\Programs
Home mailbox location: C:\Program Files\PMail\MAIL\Admin
New mailbox location: C:\Program Files\PMail\MAIL\Admin
With Win7 Microsoft changed some policies: you have no rights to write anything in a directory within "C:\Program Files". So minimum the mailboxes have to be installed somewhere else, i.e. "C:\MAIL" or you may install the complete Pegasus in i.e. "C:\PMAIL".

Did you have a look at "C:\Program Files\PMail\MAIL\Admin", if the files of your mailbox are still there? If so ... backup them somewhere else.

Then we will see ... tbc

Hi! First of all, I'm an idiot and haven't backed up my Pmail files in a long, long time. So if they're all gone, it's entirely my fault.

My tale of woe: I heard there was a new version of Pegasus. I downloaded it, activated it, told it it was an upgrade and waited happily.

Unhappily it wouldn't start when I tried the icon. The screen would flash but no software. When I told it to run as administrator it finally started but I no longer have any of my PMail folders anywhere that I can find them - not on the C:, not in the discard bin, not in my documents. All gone. A total disaster (that I should have prevented by backing up regularly.)

Is there any way to retrieve them? Here's the info available under the Help menu
