In a folder the messages appear in columns
- From
- Subject
- Date/Time
- Size

Suddenly**  these columns have narrowed
and don't show the full content. If I
slide them apart they revert back to the
narrow format in future sessions

The option Folder/Default size and layout
does not seem to help

I am using V4.63(win 32)

** Actually it probably started after
I made changes to Windows display settings

Make any adjustments in a non-maximized window and they should stick.

Ensure also that the desktop state is saved between sessions - Tools | Options | Basic Settings.

I've now managed to get one folder the way
I want it and have set
'Use this windows layout as default'

but other folders remain as before.

Oh wait - I see.

You then have to 'Apply default window'
to each folder as and when.

Problem solved

Apply the default to each.  (Same place you set the default)

This is strange. The problem appeared to be solved but it's got worse.

It's actually going wrong within a session as opposed to separate sessions.

In other words,

1. Open a folder
2. Click on 'Apply Default Layout to this Window'. This works.
3. Close folder
4. Reopen folder. Back to original state
