I've installed the SpamHalter Daemon and think I've configured it correctly.
How do I test it is working OK ??
This is on a test server, not live.
Thanks
First thing I'd do is send a message to the spam and nospam account, and see if the spam database is updated (time stamp).
Secondly, check your incoming messages for the headers that Spamhalter should add.
Bart
Thanks..

Mercury shows:
Killed by Daemon..
How do I make SpamHalter NOT kill the mail, just tag it so I can move it ?
Thanks

Try sending to spam+password@testdomain.com.

Says here this is a non-local sender w/o a password so it's ignored.

That what is supposed to happen when the mail is sent to the spam/nospam address for processing.

I do not understand.

Thanks.
I'll have a play and post back what happens.

I thought Spamhalter was killing the email, not tagging it. But reading your reply above, it appears it was the mail to spam & nospam.
Thanks
Thomas - Thanks You :)
Now I know what it's doing... It's working well.
Anyway to get a better starting database ?
All my spam is forwarded to a 'junk' email address at the moment. This allows me to login and check that nothing has slipped through.
Can I import these messages ?
Thanks

You can train Spamhalter by sending them to your spam address, but it is equally important to train with your non-spam. Get a similar number of good messages to forward to your non-spam address.
