Different sender identity not allowed

Can any of your other providers handle all your outgoing mail?

Unfortunately no

[quote user="PaulW"]

And why can you not send from Outlook?

We have a strict policy about mail: all incoming and outgoing must be processed in M32, for  archiving, control and filtering purposes.

Anyway, I solved setting up multiple instances of M32.

It would be nice if in future versions of M32 we could use multiple instances of the sole MercuryC (I seem to remember that someone here in the forum said that in Netware it's possible); anyway, I think M32 is a great piece of software; absolutely worth the registration.

Hello. I would need some help, because one of the providers of mine has a strict policy about sending mails.

The case: I have 2 accounts on the same provider; to the first belongs the mailbox father@provider.it, and to te second son@provider.it (both non local).

Outgoing mail is handled by MercuryC, relaying on esmtp.provider.it: the authentication is required. Moreover, different sender identities are not allowed, so if I want to send an email from father@provider.it, I must login to the esmtp.provider.it as "father" and his password, and if I want to send an email from son@provider.it, I must login as "son" and his password.

As we can setup only one MercuryC, any idea about how to solve the problema, other than setting up a second instance of Mercury to handle (via WsmtpEx) the outgoing mail of one of the two accounts?

best regards
Filippo

Is it an option to use Pegasus Mails' built-in mailer rather than MercuryC?  This would allow you to create two SMTP hosts and use one with each identity.  Actually, only one identity needs to use the built-in mailer.  The other can process through MercuryC.

SOrry, we do not use pmail; only M32 as server and outlook as clients (and we cannot directly send via outlook)

Can any of your other providers handle all your outgoing mail?

If not, you may have to find someone else who will relay mail for you if MercuryE cannot be used.  And why can you not send from Outlook?
