Hi Olaf. Sorry for the delay.   I have not found the cause of the problem but have the system working.   I had to uninstall Pegasus and then remove every entry relating to Pegasus in the registry, which took some time.  Having carried out a new installlation it now works.  So, corruption somewhere.

Up till this morning copying and pasting the public link from Dropbox into the body of an email resulted in a green, underlined, clickable link

which caused the appropriate page to open.

Now, I have a black link which is not clickable.  Going the long way round and using the Hyperlink button works but it is a bit longwinded. 

Any ideas on how to retore the auto link, please?  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Dropbox and uninstalled and reinstalled Pegasus but no change.

Any help much appreciated, please.

What are we talking about? Formated mail or text-only mail?

Could you give an example how the link of your dropbox looks like?

I asume the links are not colored only with links to your dropbox?! Other links are colored?
