Hello All,

I have planned to create a distribution list for the parents in a primary school class.  So I would like forwarding an incoming email to a few outside email address (like an distribution list).

I have read in the manual about a FORWARD file but I don't know that this file is able to store more adresses not only one.

Maybe can I create a rule for this ?

Any Idea?

Thank you for your kind support,

Best regards,

Jhonny

A FORWARD file exists in a user mailbox and forwards every message received into that mailbox.  I believe you can forward to multiple address by separating them with a comma in the FORWARD file but the FORWARD file doesn't sound like the right answer for what you are trying to do.

I am thinking that to do this with Mercury you need to use a mailing list but I don't know whether a forward rule with a mailing list as the recipient will work.  If you are using Pegasus Mail you can use a filtering rule to forward to a distribution list.  This might do what you need and be easier to maintain.  Post on the Pegasus Mail support forum if you need specific help with this.

If you use the built-in editor for automatic mail forwarding (available from Manage local users / Change, assuming file-based forwarding has been allowed in Core configuration / Advanced) there is a help text that explains how to add multiple forwarding addresses.

For your purpose creating a mailing list might be a better choice, though.
