New Mail folder over flowing with duplicate message

Thank you for your responses.

I probably should have elaborated a bit more on my configuration, as I am not using POP3, mercury is configured for SMTP using the MERCURYS and MERCURYE server/client.

To confirm that when I go to File - Selective download, I'll get the error message "no active POP3 definitions".

Also this will happen whether I have pegasus setup in on or offline mode. (Or even if I turn off the Mercury service, that message just keeps coming)

I'm not sure what happened to my mailbox, however something freaked out on 1/19/12 as I keep receiving the same message over and over again dated 19 Jan 12, 16:40. Every time I refresh my mail box, a new one of these messages will appear in my inbox (New mail folder) as new mail. Nothing shows in the mercury server, and if I don't have pegasus open, no new messages are created, so I'm pretty certain the issue pertains to pegasus and not mercury.

I've searched around a bit and have not had any luck finding any one else with a similar problem and resolution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 Thank you,

Nick

I've noticed in the past that if a message hasn't downloaded in full when clicking on the mailbox, it won't get flagged as downloaded on the server and will download again when the server is next polled.

Not sure if this could be related to your issue though.

Cheers

You could go to File, Selective download and then delete the message in question. Hope this helps.
