quotation in replies doesn't work anymore

Dear Brian,

thank you for your advice! - I had tried several reply options and did it again now. This has no effect on my problem which is reliably reproducible. But if I activate the "Use IERenderer"-option the problem seems to be solved. When this feature first was introduced I decided that I don't need it because I only write and read the text-version of messages. This was a mistake as it now turned out. Thank you for your solution.

Best regards

Thomas

Good afternoon from Western Europe!

Since a couple of months there is a problem with the quotation of received e-mails in replies.

I

use the "text only"-modus to view e-mails. When I "reply" to an e-mail

in almost 50 percent of cases the original text of the e-mail is not

displayed in the reply. Only the header of the original e-mail is displayed in the reply.

When

I switch to the "fancy" mode (instead of "text only") while viewing the

original e-mail before I press "reply", the original e-mail ist

perfectly quoted in the reply. This effect didn't occur some months ago.

Thanks a lot for any solution!

It sounds like your reply button is configured to do a quick reply

with last options but the reply options have changed making it behave

differently than what you expect.  Hitting the "R" key while reading a

message will invoke a reply with the reply options box.  Change the reply option settings as needed to get the results you

want.  This may take multiple test replies.  These settings are sticky

so they apply to future replies until changed.

You can change the

behavior of the reply button by clicking on the black arrow to the right

of the reply button and selecting the behavior you want.

You might also consider testing with IERenderer enabled and disabled to

see if that makes a difference.  Make sure you have the most current

version of IERenderer which is v2.4.7.4.

I am puzzled by the reply results being different when generated

from viewing in text mode versus viewing in fancy mode.  I can't

duplicate that here.  Perhaps your efforts in resetting the reply

options will give a clue.  Please let us know how you make out.
