Hi all,

I have been using Pegasus Mail since 1996 still sticking to the version 2.x. The reason is that I do not manage to convert messages with non-latin characters into newer versions in a correct way. These messages get completely messed during an update. There is a lot of messages in cyrillic (mostly KOI8-R and Win-1251 encoding). Some are base64-encoded. Some have wrong or no encoding information in their header. All of them are readable in the old version of Pegasus and unreadable in newer versions.

Does anyone here have experience on this issue and give a hint how to convert such messages in a proper way?

Please send a copy of one of these messages to irelam@telus.net  and I will investigate and forward the message to others on the development team if necessary. To do this forwarding do the following:

1. Copy message back to the New Mail folder

2. Compose a new message to me, at irelam@telus.net

3 Drag and Drop the message from 1. above to the body area of the new message.

4 You will be prompted if you want the message attached to the new message. Reply Yes

5. Click Send
