Dear all,

Does anyone know how to edit the spellcheck dictionary file which on my system, I think, is called "words4.db3"?

I have tried to open it with various programmes, but unsucessfully so.  Is there a specific editing programme to be

used?

Kind regards,

Michael J McCann

The record of your spelling  additions you have made is stored in your home mail box location and is USRDICT3.PMD file which can be opened and viewed in Notepad. The file name you mentioned is the database for the Spamhalter function and is not editable.

Actually the file can be manipulated just as any other SQL database.

In the past I made a posting on how to rebuild the database if corrupt due to not having unique PRIMARY KEY.

Jerry,

Thank you.  I have found the USRDICT3.PMD file and have now edited it with Notepad.

It is strange but there is nothing in the Help files — otherwise usually helpful — about it or the Spellcheck

 Many thanks,
