Recently replaced an XP32bit machine with a new 64bit Windows 7. This new machine runs PMail as a client; Everything worked great in a total XP environment. Everything works fine in/on the new setup except I need to run PConfig to set up the new machine properly. No matter what I can't get PConfig to run due to the incompatibility error with the new OS. So ... the question(s) are -
1. How can I go about running PConfig? if at all possible?
2. What file, if any, does PConfig write or create and is it editable manually? (Dumb question I suspect but never hurts to ask)
3. Can I simply copy the appropriate file from the backed up original install on the XP machine replacing the one on the new machine? If so, which file is it that should be copied?
4. There doesn't appear to be any option for creating the PConfig settings within PMail itself like under the Internet Options. If there are, what/which would they be?
PMail runs fine on the new 64bit OS except for not being able to send mail over the network (simple home LAN setup with a 10/100 hub) to my laptop which is the only machine that connects to the Internet. Both PMail versions are 4.63 recently downloaded.
Many thanks in advance for any advice.
