unkown fields in file hierach.pm

Hi Michael,

sure you may! [:)]  I have about 250 valid  entries in hierach.pm  and even the same number of invalid entries. It makes qwuite a diffrence at starttime. I guess Pmail seaches somewhere for the not existing folders.

 But more importend is, that I need to scan the hierach.pm in order to get the proper foldername. I have pmail linked to the CRM, so that the CRM-user can directly open the cutomers mailbox from within the CRM. (The CRM patches the desktop.pm0 so that pmail at starttime opens the fiting mailbox.) Therefore I wanted to get a rid of those invalid entries.

Dose anyone kows, what the"Name_Unavailable" in the lines in hierach.pm means and from where it comes?

 0,0,"61AEF581:6449:FOL0712E","39536571:Mein Briefkasten",Name_Unavailable

I have hunderts of such entries in that file, but there are no corresponding FOL*.* in the mailbox-dir.

And i can't find any file with the corr. folder-filname either.

I deleted that entries manualy but Pmail adds them aggain when it starts.

Any suggestions [*-)] ?   - Thank's for help!

Name unavailable entries are entries that reference Pegasus Mail folders that are not available when the Heirarch.pm files is written.  A good example of this is when you add a mailbox as a folder.  When you disconnect the added mailbox the record of the folders of that added mailbox are stored in the heirarch file but with the "name unavailable" entry.  The next time you add that mailbox as a folder those name unvailabe entries will be utilized to display the mailbox folder the same way that you last left it.  They are safe to delete (back up the heirarch.pm file first) but they serve a valuable purpose if you add the same mailboxes regularly.

I could mange the problem by deleting the file "Mailbox.pm" and by deleting all searchentries (link-folder) from the hierach.pm.

That's it!

=> Thanks a lot!!

May I ask what problem you're talking about? I don't really get why some orphaned entries in hierarch.pm raise any problems at all?
