Mail Delivery Failure notice, can I turn it off?

Obviously, but as I don't need this persistent reminder (and I doubt I am the only one), there should be a toggle by which those of us who wish to eliminate this can do so.  Just sayin'.

It's superfluous as I already know it failed when I get the pop-up screen.  This is a notice from WinPMail, not from an ISP.

The only pop-up I am aware of is one generated by Pegasus Mail when the To: field contains an entry that is not recognized as an email address (a missing '@' for instance).  The message would not be sent.  As for delivery failure messages, you can get them from Pegasus Mail if there is a syntax error in the To: field (a missing comma between to messages for instance) or from a destination mail server providing information about to why delivery failed.  Neither of these generate pop ups that I am aware of.  If you are receiving pop-ups and delivery failure messages it would be helpful to know the specifics about what the pop up says and what the delivery failure messages says would be helpful.

Obviously, I couldn't expect this to be easy.  Ok.  Here`s what happens.  I send an e-mail, I get prompted for a directory in which to place the e-mail, I choose a directory then I am told the e-mail cannot be sent by a pop-up box.  Fair enough.  I need to know this.

But then, I also get an e-mail from Pegasus telling me the very same thing, much like an ISP will send you when it fails to deliver to recipient.  It has this header:

From: Mail Delivery System <>

To: Self

Subject: Mail Delivery Failure.

Date sent:

and the body says:

Delivery has failed on the enclosed message for the following

reasons reported either by the mail delivery system on the mail

relay host or by the local TCP/IP transport module:

   *** TCP/IP error while processing job ***

A network error has occurred while WinPMail attempted to send

your message. This error could be caused by many conditions,

   including the following:

     * The remote host may have gone down.

     * Your network may have been broken or gone down.

     * You may have a configuration problem in your WINSOCK.DLL.

     * If running on a SLIP line, you may have experienced a

timeout (increase the value in WinPMail's Network Config.

Dialog), or the phone line may have gone down or suffered

       from excessive line noise.

WinPMail will requeue your message and try again later.

Your original mail message follows:

What I want to know is how to turn off this useless information.  I already know this and I can usually get the e-mail to go out within a minute.  I don't need useless trash clogging my inbox, so how do I turn it off?

You can't, but a simple filter rule triggered by specifics of these messages could certainly delete them when opening the new mail folder. And, BTW: If something is "useless trash" to you it might not be so to others ...
