When checking for the saved messages you want to delete use file manager tool or win explorer to locate the files and delete them while winpm-32 is closed.

be no .PNX files without a corresponding other file." Final form messages are .pmx files. All above are stored in your home mail box location for each user which is normally in ..\ pmail\mail\~8 or default c:\pmail\mail\admin location or if old single user setup c:\pmail\mail location. Be aware your system may contain both as old and new home mail box locations.
You can use something like Wordpad to open any of the above file extensions as it will handle both text and RFT formatted files and you can read and identify what these old files actually contain.
