Actually Pegasus Mail will confirm delivery of your message, only if the receipient has enabled that confirmation response. Problem is that this response also tells *spammers* that your email address is active. The act of confirming the opening of your message does very little extra from just confirming the delivery, as in both cases all you can assume is that your message arrived (got delivered) ok.
The only system I know that actively tracks Delivery and Reading is MS Outlook, and for that application I believe most sites will enable it for internal mail traffic only.
