Total removal of Pegasus mail
There are some other threads that indicate reinstalling Pegasus Mail, running it once to create its registry entries (the uninstaller needs these entries), then uninstalling HTML Renderer followed by uninstalling Pegasus Mail should work.  I can't find any verification of this though.  If you try it, I would be grateful if you would report back on your results.
After updating IER to its latest version the uninstaller should work properly as well if not finding PM itself (but you can only install IER with PM pre-installed, of course). Please let me know if it doesn't.

Hello,

can anyone please help with how to removal of  Pegasus Mail HTML Renderer 2.4.7.2 .  there seems to be lots of discussions about this across the net, but no real solutions.

I get a silly message from the windows uninstaller that says Pegasus Mail is running, when its not. (i've uninstalled it - don't want it)

This is very frustrating. there's nothing worse than software that can't be gotten rid off.  I'm trying not to get annoyed.

any help much appreciated.

thanks...i followed that post and got rid of the registry entry for the item in the uninstaller list... god knows if that actually got rid of everthing... I have to say thats a big black mark for pegasus mail. the first thing I do when evaluating programs is see how easy they are to get rid of !  really appreciate you taking the time to reply cheers.

The HTML Renderer uninstaller relies on checking the status of a Pegasus Mail file.  When it can't it assumes that Pegasus Mail is running.  There are some other threads that indicate reinstalling Pegasus Mail, running it once to create its registry entries (the uninstaller needs these entries), then uninstalling HTML Renderer followed by uninstalling Pegasus Mail should work.  I can't find any verification of this though.  If you try it, I would be grateful if you would report back on your results.

thanks also to you Brian, as above I've got rid of the entry in the programs list...so at least I don't see it... probably the same as covering up the engine warning light with a sticker, but oh well.... :)
