How to get Pegasus to automatically open new mail

It may be worth noting that with "File/Selective Mail Download..." you can check your message senders, titles and sizes; also by double clicking on any messages showing in the list you can read all the message header data including the addresses through which the message has come.   I find this useful for checking any doutbful messages that I don't wish to come any where near my machine.  Such messages can be deleted on the ISP server without affecting your machine.

Every time I open Pegasus it just sits there not retrieving any new mail. I looked in Settings and that box about automatically opening the new mail folder at startup is already checked. Surely there is a way to get Pegasus to retrieve new mail upon starting the program.

That is only one setting of at least two necessary Check Tools, Internet  options, Receiving tab and check the block to download when new mail folder is opened. Set time value or Idle check value also so after inactivity it will again check automatically.

If using IMAP only then other settings are necessary within the IMAP profile and tabs below. When either is set as normally done mail is automatically downloaded or displayed on startup of winpm-32.
