I would like to know two things: the display of Help, About, Info button and then what you actually see defined as home and new mail location when you run PCONFIG.exe which is a 16bit program.  If you are on 64bit OS then use DosBos to run program.

In order for new mail message to be read and useable they must either be in your new mail location or else you must use the add mailbox function to add that location to your folder window.

I had to re-install Pegasus 4.6.  I first copied the Hierarch.pm file as it was when last used.  I copied it back into the PMAIL\FILE folder and then ran the program I had newly installed.  All is well except that there is no Mailbox tray and no New Mail folder.  The rest of the trays and files are present.

 Before the re-installation, the New Mail folder had about 30 important messages in it.  How can I get it back and its files?

New mail messages are *.cnm files and are not in a messages folder like the other messages. Restore the *.cnm files from the old new mail location to the new/same new mail location on drive and the messages will appear on next new mail refresh.

Use top main toolbar and Help, About, Info button to see display that will show your current new mail folder location and that is where you must copy the old .cnm files to. Make sure during copy or restore that the files are not marked R attribute (read only) at OS level due to use of transfer media or cdrom or backup program.

My problem is getting worse.  I had a couple of versions of the Hierarch.pm file and have tried using these.  The result is that I am seeing messages no more recent than 2011.  Where are the missing messages?  And how can I get them back into the filing system?
