Hey Guys, Here is where I'm at. I have a domain name from godaddy and lets just say it's xxyy.com. I have an A record named mail.xxyy.com pointing to my outside IP Address for my server. I then put that A record in for an MX Record as mail.xxyy.com and priority 1. I have DMZ Enabled on my local server, so ports should not be an issue. I then go into Mercury -> Configuration - Core Config - and internet name for this system is set as xxyy.com. Here are some screenshots.

I then go to smtp server settings via configure -> MercuryS -> Announce myself as = xxyy.com (this is not my real domain name, just hypothetical)
I then have my IP Interface set as 127.0.0.1. If I set it to anything else I notice the ports don't open up under the xamp launcher for mercury (I have changed the ports for pop3 to 6412 and smpt to 6411 because my ISP will probably block all of the default incoming ports.) Here is a screenshot of the window.

When I try sending out a message right from mercury to a gmail account of myne, it goes through just fine on the smtp server window, but on the smtp client to client window, it says connecting to x.x.x.x (x being any number that google would use), and it eventually says using alternate, and never really get's to send a message. I am using google's dns servers. (8.8.8.8)
Then I go to POP3 Server Confg via Configuration -> MercuryP -> and set my IP Interface to use as xxyy.com. Screenshots are above.
Please help me out guys, I have a feeling im close to getting this figured out. If you need a picture of my dns settings on godaddy, I will post those. But like I said I have mail.xxyy.com going to my server IP addy, and then mail.xxyy.com as mx record of 1.
Thanks guy. I appreciate it.
