Polish plain text signature

I don't think so.  The plain text signaturefiles (PMS) are in old DOS-Format ... charactercode 850.

If I use Notepad++ for editing the PMS-files, I have to change coding to "OEM850" to see the special (german) letters like ä, ö and ü correctly. Changing to ISO-8859-1 won't show them correctly. Simple DOS-Editor with Windows (EDIT in CMD) does show them correctly too.

Cheers

What can I do?

I tried to replicate your problem with characters like é, ü, ï but everything works fine for me. You could try editing localsig.pms and inetsig.pms with a text editor.

Yes, You are right. If You write these special characters in Pegazus, they go wrong, but if edit it with external editor, everything is fine.

My immediate reaction is that the signature file is probably assumed to be stored in ISO-8859-1, so special characters in languages like Czech and Polish, which use other ISO-8859 character sets, may not be representable. This is just a guess though - I'll have to take a look at the code and work through it.

If my initial reaction proves to be correct, I'll add it to the list of fixes that need to be made for v5.0. In the short term, the suggestion of using an external editor is probably the easiest workaround for the problem.

Cheers!
