Right having a bit of a problem with getting Domain Mailboxes to work in Mercury.

Previously been using a small network of Pegasus Mail on the LAN, which has been working fine for many years.  However we now require IMAP access so have turned to and installed MERCURY for that purpose.  Installation seems to have gone fine accept for getting Domain Mailboxes to function [:(]

I have defined all the Domains needed and created entries for each DM and below is a copy of the relevant section of the mercury.ini file;
[Domains]
server: server.g8dhe.net
server: g8dhe.net
server: ednamather.me.uk
server: g8dhe.com
server: geoffmather.me.uk
server: sphericalvisions.co.uk
server: sphericalvisions.com
server: videorepeater.co.uk
server: videorepeater.com
server: [84.92.63.102]
DM=edna: ednamather.me.uk
DM=geoff: geoffmather.me.uk
DM=geoff: g8dhe.net
DM=geoff: g8dhe.com
DM=geoff: sphericalvisions.co.uk
DM=geoff: sphericalvisions.com
DM=geoff: videorepeater.co.uk
DM=geoff: videorepeater.com

Does the above look OK ?  I can't see anything wrong myself having searched back for examples ...

Initially MercuryS - SMTP was rejecting connections for non-valid accounts so I turned on the MercuryS option to allow for "Accept mail for invalid local addresses" - seems perhaps strange that having defined DM's to the Core module that this isn't automatically turned on by default or perhaps that is part of the problem ...

Having done this the Core module was of course replying that the address was invalid and generating backscatter so I have pointed the "Delivery failure template" file in the core to a non existent file, so hopefully that has solved that problem ....

However I am still not seeing incoming mail for "invalid" accounts appearing in the defined account, merely Postmaster messages giving details of the failure....

So HELP what have I missed ? Looking for a moment ...

Remove the duplicated domains in the "server: " section so that each unique domain just has a "DM=" entry for your domain mailboxes.

Domains that are handled by Domain Mailboxes should not be listed as handled by the server. As the server tries to handle messages for these domains normally (rather than delivering them to a DM) you get the invalid local addresses issues.

Other than that you should of course make sure that the mailboxes edna and geoff exist.

Ah yes so obvious when you know!  When you follow the manual of course you start by adding the domains to the server, then you handle the DM's after that by adding them in.....

Thank you the change has been made I feel certain the results will be right...!
