Thanks again. After a few importing failures Pmail is working to a point I can live with it. I believe there would be a market and interest for a utility program that would transfer old Pmail files, addresses, archives etc. to new computer with a different OS, (from Xp to Win 7 or 8.1.)

I have just installed Pmail v4.63 on my Win 7 computer. I set the hyperlink to the Firefox browser (path in Pmail menu). When I left click on a link it takes me to my desktop icons and not to the browser or Internet. I can right click to open link in browser but I would like to correct the first problem. Any help will be most appreciated.

Is Firefox your Windows default browser? Do you encounter the same issue if using Internet Exlorer (just for testing)? Does it affect plain text or HTML (formatted) messages or both of them? Did you try with the latest version of IERenderer?

Many thanks for your reply. I changed IE to my default browser - no change. I did import my mail directory files from my old XP computer to my Win 7 computer. I'm wondering if that could be the problem.

I also noticed when I imported these files some of the archived files did not import that well. There are now three green files with ;51-52 828 add process; ExSpinDn.exe -24916.23. Obviously something went wrong with these mail folders. Pmail crashes if I click on these files and I cannot delete them from the menu. Is there anyway I can remove them? I cannot locate them in the Pmail directory. Thanks.

It's very likely that this is the problem: There are many posts in this forum dealing with how to transfer installations to Win 7/8, especially about issues with installing to any kind of ...\Program Files\ subdirectories, please take a look at them first.
