Two login windows

Hallo Rebeccah,

do the two login-popups ask vor same logindata?

You may have a look at internet options, if there is more than one definition at tag POP3.

Or may be there are some mails waiting to be sent (have a look at queue) so Pegasus wants SMTP-Password at startup (asumed, you have configured SMTP to use login data from POP3-configuration).

Today, my PegasusMail has started displaying two login windows when it starts up.

I have Pegasus  4.63 (Win32) build 325, running on Windows XP (probably SP3, but I'm not sure).  I use it infrequently, for testing SMTP mail notifications from Java applications I am writing (we use Outlook for corporate e-mail, and I have an old version of Forte Agent at home).  Consequently, I am not that familiar with how to configure it, just enough to get it set up a while back.

Normally, I start up Pegasus using the "Pegasus Mail as 'Admin'" entry in my Start Menu.  Normally, on startup, I see a single login popup that is populated with server address and login name for my rebeccah@10.0.0.1 POP3 Profile Name.  I enter my password, and I'm on my way.

The last few days I've been back and forth between home and work, and my laptop has shut down in the car several times due to a depleted battery.  Evidently, it did this at least once while Pegasus was running.  Today, when I started up Pegasus, I got a message that the program was locked because either it had crashed/not shut down properly, or it was still running, and not to continue if it was still running, because data would be lost.  Well, it wasn't still running, so I continued.

Now, when I start up, there are two login popups.  If I cancel one of them, a new one pops up.  If I log in on one, and then cancel the other one, everything seems OK.  But if I then close normally and start the program again, I again have two login popups.  How can I get rid of the extra one?

Thanks,

Rebeccah
