Strange. I had irfanview working correctly.

Maybe be a wine issue?

After my motherboard failed I took the Linux plunge and went for Ubuntu on my new system. I had hoped the I could continue to run Pegasus using Wine, but that does not work. Nevertheless I would like to access my mail data and address books (I have been able to get a lot from my distribution[:(] lists which turn out to be in plain text).  I do have a laptop with Pegasus installed, and I do have my old programme and data partitions, plus image backups (drive snapshot). How do I go about sorting things out? Pegasus is in my eyes definitely superior to Thunderbird.  Can anyone help?

I did following, having the need for a multi-user setup.

I installed Pmail in wine, but without specifying a mail box. I declined that.

I copied the pmail data (mail box) I had to a directory.

When starting pmail for the first time it asks for a setup and I said to setup for multi-user.

I was asked to set the path to the mailbox location and I did.

I could work directly with any of my existing users.

What happens when I attempt to install I just get exceptions and it "has to close". Similarly with IrfanView and other favourite programmes.
