Specify Saving Draft in IMAP Draft Folder?

I also would like the option of saving drafts to the IMAP mail server. If I draft an email with my laptop on the road, I would like to finish it on my home office computer. I just finished a work-around. I set up a mail box on the server named "Drafts". I email my draft to my "Drafts" email address. When I get home, I open my draft on my office computer, complete the email and forward to my client, stripping the "forwarding info lines".

P.S. I have my own identity and a "Drafts" identity. So when I forward the completed email, I use my own identity.

Hi,

I'm new to Pegasus and I'm just finding my way around. I must say it's a more complicated program than I thought! I managed to get my FastMail account set up as IMAP. And I was able to set preferences so that Pegasus empties the header and message cache after closing. (I like not having my email stored on my computer and with Fastmail's very fast response via IMAP, it's no hassle for me at all!)

But I noticed that any draft I compose is hidden away somewhere not so obvious until I summon it back from the darkness by using Ctrl + O. Well, I'd really like to have my drafts saved in my Fastmail draft folder instead of somewhere in Pegasus, but I can't seem to find a setting allowing me to choose the location for saved drafts. Is it possible to set Pegasus to save draft in the IMAP draft folder and not in Pegasus, so that any draft being worked on is purged from Pegasus (but not from FastMail) at closing?

Thanks for any feedback!

Welcome to Pegasus Mail!  You will find it to be extremely powerful and flexible with an amazing support community.

Now to your question about draft messages, they are stored by Pegasus Mail as .PMW files in the local mailbox directory.  When you do Ctrl+O or File > Open saved messages, Pegasus assemble a list from the .PMO files it finds.   Also with this extension are messages saved as stationary which are indicated as such in the list of saved messages.  I don't know of any way to store them elsewhere.

BTW, in case you haven't found the guide to Pegasus Mail filenames and extensions let me call it to your attention as a reference resource.  Find it at http://www.vandenbogaerde.net/pegasusmail/pf_pmfiles.html
