Add mail back into queue after crash

Yes. Shutdown Mercury32 and copy the files back in queue should work. The extension .$$$ is unknown to me. I know only the files listed in Filename extensions used by Mercury/32 spool directory. I would take a look in the .$$$ files with Notepad++.

These files seem to be created by Mercury32. Either this is a program fault or the result after moving files in the queue while Mercury32 was running.

I had a server crash due to a spam relay attempt.  Had to move all the email out of the queue.  Deleted the thousands of emails that were being relayed through my server.  Moved all the other emails out of the queue folder.  Changed passwords of the users.

Everything is running again but I would like to place the balance of the undelivered emails into the queue.  Tried it with a few but they were not delivered.  Saw other messages come and go.

What can I do to place the emails back into the queue?  They are .qdf and .qcf files.

How long did you leave them in the queue?  When Mercury has a problem delivering messages it delays processing the message for a wait period and then tries again.  After a crash that you experienced I would suspect it would take quite a few hours for all the email to be cleared.

Files are dated 9/3/14.  I placed them in the queue yesterday, 9/17.  Today 9/18, they are still there.

Is there a log that is used to tell Mercury on what to send?  Or does it just look in the queue folder to process?

So is there a way to add it back to the queue?

Thanks

I had to restart Mercury last Friday as we updated the antivirus program.  All the old Queue files are now gone.

So you are saying that I need to close Mercury, put the old files into the Queue, restart Mercury, and they should be delivered?

Also, I saw .$$$ files today in the queue.  What are those?
