Changing client to outlook

After a very long time my client has been pushing me to move away from Pegasus to outlook, because of of application integration and certain issues they have had with pegagsus

my preference is to switch them to imap instead of pop. One of my concerns is an issue that the client had using pegasus. The client receives a large. Number of emails with attachments they usually file them by year which builds until they hAve a file corruption because the file exceeds 2 gig which was a problem under Pegasus If they use outlook only connecting with imap will this be an issue with mercury
