Pegasus does not open PDF files

If you are trying to open the pdf attachment by double clicking or selecting the "Open" in the attachment pane try restarting Pegasus Mail.

If that isn't the problem, can you open a .pdf by double clicking on the filename from within Windows Explorer?  If not, the systems file association for the .pdf extension is broken.

As a last resort you can go to Tools > Options > Incoming mail > Content viewers and add an entry for the .pdf extension.  Select the "Run this program" option and browse to select the Adobe executable.

When I try to open the attachment it only says "Type Unknown" and I have to save it first to enable me to open it in ADOBE.

I do not have the same problem with Microsoft Word  or JPEG files. This is a new problem.

In the raw view, the header looks like this:

 --MGsmtp-part-20141118-163832-09a2e1ba-0001
Content-Type: application/pdf;
    name="Acc_Afr_internet_2014.pdf"
Content-Disposition: attachment;
    filename="Acc_Afr_internet_2014.pdf"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

Thanks for any help.

Check the PDF entry in your FILETYPE.PM:

PDF-document,0,x,0,.pdf

works for me.
