I'm new to Mercury. I am not new to email servers or clients.
I'm running latest Mercury in a small office with 4 PC's all running Outlook (4 email accounts), plus each one has at least one laptop/tablet/smartPhone that also accesses the same email account.
One thing I have noticed is that even when I configure outlook (or an android device) to leave a copy of the email on the server, it does not.
Ideally I would like to have the PC's leave new email on the Server (Mercury) for 2 weeks then remove it, and the mobile devices never remove the email at all.
But at the moment, whenever any email client picks up the email from a given account on Mercury, it also removes the email from Mercury regardless of if the email client is configured to do so or not.
End result is none of the other devices get that email, so finding old emails becomes a problem because you have to check all your devices to find the device that you received the email on.
Is there a way of making Mercury take notice of the "Leave email on server" option that all email clients now have?
It worked fine before when I used mDaemon as a email server, I only mention this to show I know how to configure the email clients.
Can anyone help me.
or am I making a noob (to Mercury) mistake?
Thanks in advance.
Philip.
