Thanks - indeed, I had missed that! The Mercury D setting is set to 60 seconds.

Mercury 4.8 Public Beta version

Have just installed version 4.8 and I note the : 'poll for new mail every..' no longer seems to work as before.

My setting has always been 120 seconds.... Mercury is polling every 60 seconds. I can change the figure in the 'poll for new mail' field
to something different but makes no difference.. mercury polls every 60 seconds....

Do you mean the setting on the General tab in the Mercury core configuration?

From the help:-
This setting controls how often the core module should check to see if there is mail waiting to be processed in the queue. We recommend that you do not set it below ten seconds for performance reasons.

The label may be slightly misleading.  If you are trying to set a download interval for checking POP mailboxes, then this is set in the MercuryD module configuration - "Check every nnn seconds".  I have it set to 600 and it does check every 10 minutes.
