Hello

I use Pegasus mail for a long time and I have several different accounts  defined

For now a few weeks, I noticed that one (and only one !) of these accounts seems to automatically generate spam mails !

The symptoms : when I look in my incoming mail, I have MANY mails with a "Mail delivery error" header.

I opened them and notice that a message seems to have been sent to an unknown adress. I deleted all these messages, but new ones appear almost everyday

An additional nfo ;   Today, I tried to register to a forum where they check for "good behaviour" ... and I was rejected at it seems I'm listed in aa blacklist of heavy spammers !!!!

I check my Pegasus account but did not find anything dffe rent from the other accounts and the problem happens only for one account !

If anyone has an idea, it would be welcome

Thanks   Have a good day

It sounds like that email address has been hacked and someone is now using it to send spam.  I think the immediate step should be to change the password on that email account.

I have never had to deal with a situation like yours so do know if additional steps should be taken.  Hopefully other forum members will post if more action is needed.

On your mail host following are some other steps:

- Check your alternate contact details, i.e. e-mail addresses and phone numbers listed are correct and belong to you.

- Update your security questions and answers.

- Review your auto-forwarding settings.  If you don't use it, turn off auto-forwarding.

- Review your "Signature"  Make sure your signature hasn't been altered, or turned on if it wasn't before.

- Confirm your "Sending name" and "Reply-to address"
