Create a complete list of message headers?

Excellent suggestion and a fine little piece of freeware to boot. Many thanks.

One extra trick needed: the resulting image is one ordinary window width wide and three thousand lines long, so most image printers make it unreadable. Turns out the Paint pgm in Windows can handle this and when set properly produces a readable 55 page printout.

Also: you can download a .chm file reader for most versions of windows (incl 7) here:

thanks again

I need to do some major email housekeeping and one thing that would help enormously is a listing of all the message headers in my inbox. The sort of listing that shows up in the INBOX window would be fine, but I want all of them (several thousand), not the ~50 or so that can be seen in a single scroll of the box. Any one know a way to do this? I've been doing screen grabs of the INBOX window, but this gets tiresome real fast.

 thanks for any ideas/suggestions/(and especially)solutions

What about a screen capturing utility that will capture an entire scrolling window?  FastStone Capture is one that works well.  The last freeware version is available from http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=775.  It's an old app with a .chm help file which is a problem with Win7 so I'll tell you the trick to capturing a scrolling window.  Select the scrolling option (icon with the down arrow) then left click and hold inside of the scrolling area of the window.
