Errors while moving IMAP GMAIL messages to another PMAIL folder

The Gmail servers can be problematic and this might be another temporary hiccough.

I can recall previous discussion about the first part of the error message, but in those instances the messages were being moved despite what was being said in the error message.

The second part of the error message is a mystery, as I can move (drag and drop) messages between IMAP and local folders, including the Inbox, without difficulty, so that part of the message does not appear to be valid.

Hello,

I don't know if GMAIL recently changed its ways to handle IMAP folders but I used to be able to move messages  from my IMAP GMAIL Inbox to other Pegasus folders.

Now I get an error every times I tried. I don't have this problem with my other IMAP Accounts and they are setup the same way.

Any idea what am I missing? (Do I have to set something special on GMAIL side or in Pegasus?)

Thanks.

I have a Gmail account set up on IMAP and don't have any problems moving messages between IMAP and local folders.

How does the error manifest itself. Is there an error message or is it just not working?

I select multiple messages and try to drag and drop them in a regular folder

"Profile 'GMAIL':

The IMAP server that manages this mailbox or folder has reported an error during the operation you have attempted to perform.

The operation cannot be completed. "

Then

" You cannot drop a message onto that window or onto that part of that window.

Messages can be dropped into the message list of other folder windows, onto a folder in the floating Folder Manager window, or into any Editor control (such as the message editor window).

You may not drop a message into the folder where it is already located nor into the New Mail folder."

Does the same thing happen if you try to move messages singly?

The reference to the IMAP server reporting an error sounds like Gmail is not liking what you are trying to do.  I wonder if it thinks you are trying to move messages within Gmail. You might try copying rather than moving to see if you get the error.  Also try using the Move button rather than drag & drop to see if you get the error.

Hi guys,

Copy + Delete worked.

Move used to work though.

Did you try doing moves using the button rather than drag & drop?

I don't have a solution as to why drag & drop has stopped working but I am curious whether it is the entire move function or just something with the drag & drop that is now failing.

You have restarted Pegasus Mail, right?
