Mercury 4.8 crashing (Novell + Mercury)

Hi,

I'm not shure about what you are doing.

You have some groups created on Netware?

You want to send mails to those groups so that they will be distributed to the members?

Then you have to create a "groupsalias" (public name) in Mercury Core Module pointing to each group in Netware you want to use for maildistribution. With bindery module loaded in Mercury you simply enter the groupname, with NDS Module the full distinguished name (.groupname.ou.o).

If a Netware group has no public name in Mercury poiting to it, Mercury should not recognize it and send no mails to the members. That's how it works for me for many years.

Hi.

 I'm wishing to use Mercury as my mailserver, but I'm having some troubles, here is my scenario:

 - Novell 5.x as the file/user server, running as a vmware vm;

- Some user's and some groups (for email or just for files) already configured;

- Mercury v4.8 installed onto a windows 7 professional 64 bits with 6GB of RAM, to this day (20 days in a row).

The

issue: all works well but when I recieve mail for any of the groups

Mercury just closes itself, and do not open (keeps closing itself) until

I remove the email from the queue folder (both files, QCF and QDF). i'm

not sure what to do.

Addendum:

I've discoverd that creating

the group under "Mercury Core Module" resolves this issue, but, I still

have it since there are internal groups that I do not want to use it

for email, just for files, and Mercury closes if I receive emails for

the non external groups. What to do?

Can anybody help me?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards for all,

Adolfo Rodrigues.
