16 bit utility programs, like pmimport.exe, fsynonym.exe

I am using DosBox on my Windows 10 64 bit, I have not seen any problems yet. I have not heard anything bad so far about Oracle Virtual Machine either, but have not tried it (no need).  PMConfig runs ok on my machine too

Hi,

We are reliant on using some of the 16 bit utility programs in Mercury32/Pmail, such as pmimport and fsynonym.  These will not run on MS 64 bit OSen, and we are running out of 32 bit MS OSen, (those old Pentium 4/XP machines are getting pretty long of tooth.)  Is there any plan to compile these utilities for 32 bit? We do not buy new PCs running 32 bit versions of Windows.  I am left using the XP VM that MS provides for Win 7 x64, but this is not a long term solution. The use of these 16 bit utility programs is critical to the proper administration of Pmail/Mercury32, but my ability to use them is evaporating.

Any advice, or help would be appreciated. Our company has a 100 user license for Mercury32. If there is a cost to do the work, please let me know. Mercury32/Pmail is a great system, but having key utilities being 16 bit only is making it obsolete.

TIA,

Joel Barnett
