Agreed - thats the vast majority of my recently used addresses.  ignore/flag/highlight/report the rest.  Or just put the entry - which is an e-mail address - in the book by itself.

I wish there were a PMAIL App for Android and other smartphones. Of course not being a programmer I have no idea what would be involved in achieving that.

You can't change priority (or any other property) with mails in IMAP-folders. Times change and so there should be an option to disable this feature or including another cloumn in folderview with the possibility to sort on it ... highlighting the mail should otherwise be enough.

In prieview mode there is no INFO icon.

That function exists now when using mbxmaint_ui.exe found in same location as winpm-32.exe

and using wildcard to check *.pmm in home mail box location. Both GUI and command line versions are included with v4.63.

I am extremely light sensitive and have to use Windows 7 with a high contrast theme of black background with white text.  

Please improve Pegasus Mail's ability to use system colors, and/or provide a built-in theme with black background.  Currently, using the system colors with my theme results in some emails being unreadable in the reader, (black text on black background) and also in the compose window when replying to email with quotations.  The behaviour is somewhat inconsistent and I'm sorry I cannot be more specific than to say that the black background is implemented, but much of the text is black too.  

The buttons and icons could be improved for high contrast with black background by removing the shading.

As a workaround, I can switch to a compromise theme with a gray background that works fairly well, but it is a royal pain to switch back and forth every time I want to check email.  The other alternative is to use the default white background with black text, but this is painful if I use it for long, even with the brightness turned all the way down and wearing my protective dark glasses.

I am a long-time happy Pegasus user, for over a dozen years though I have never created a login here before.  Thank you so much for all your hard work!

I routinely use Pegasus to download mail from multiple POP3 sources.

I look at the status bar at the bottom of Pegasus to see if its working.

It just tells me 'POP3 processing'  . . . . 

I would like it to tell me what POP3 server it is working on as it goes through them. 

I would like to see a lot more allowed entries in the Recently Used Addresses List.
Or user managed entry count.

Also would like to be able to sort it by address.

You can just drag and drop... I do it all the time...

You can alos use the Control key to select files you wish to add from the select file window from the add attachment button and attachment tab.

A few years ago I suggested to manage Pegasus Mail and Mercury through a foundation. This model is widely used for some other softwares so I see no reason why it could not be for David Harris' products. So the idea is to create a foundation that will manage, develop and maintain versions of Pegasus Mail and Mercury. This way, even when David will "leave", his products will remain. That is a sad aspect of things but it is part of being human. Humans come and go, but softwares not necessarily do so.

To launch the foundation, a fund raising could be set with eventually a more or less detailed itemization of expenses. The amount of needed money could be represented by some sort of status bar directly on the official web site and the wikipédia page. By the way the Wikipédia foundation operates along similar lines. As for new features, the plans suggested above are not very efficient. Indeed, assume David spends a lot of time coding and testing and as a result offers a new version which has to be bought. Now suppose no one buys it, then David would have "wasted" his time and energy, and on top of that would have earned no money for his work. I think a more effeicient way to integrate new features would be to first standardized the process of selecting new features. One way to do it would in seven steps :

(.) step 01 : define a period of time during which every user can suggest a new feature (to ease forum research, a subforum should be created and strict rules regarding titles of threads and presentation of features should be designed) ;

(.) step 02 : thanks to the presentation rules of thread titles and thread bodies (features presentation and rationales) we assume a somehow automated process studies all the relevant threads and comes up with a list of a given number of features ;

(.) step 03 : define a period of time during which every user will be able to vote for one of the features ;

(.) step 04 : show on the official web site (and maybe the wikipedia page) which are the top 5 features (the number of features is decided by David so 5 is just to illustrate my point) and represent each with some sort of money bar ;

(.) step 05 : once a money bar of a particular feature is full, then a development bar takes place with an estimated time of coding completion ;

(.) step 06 : once the development bar is full, it is replaced by a tested bar ;

(.) step 07 : once all tested bars are full for all top 5 selected features, then a ew version of Pegasus Mail could be set into development.

This way, the selection and coding of the features is efficient, David earns some money for his work and everyone can enjoy a free version of Pegasus Mail. In my opinion, it is a win for everyone. Also, a permanent donation bar could be visible on the web site and the wikipedia page. This way, David will only need to modify the "donation goal" in order to ask for more money. The dude being rather uncomfortable about that matter, this could be a way for him to overcome this difficulty.

I have to say that I already suggested those ideas to David but so far did not receive any answer. Those ideas could be taken into account in designing a crowdfunding project. As an example, this has been successfull for the following project : Eternity. It is an isometric RPG which raised $3,986,929. That said, there is only one way to know if this could be also a success for Pegasus Mail and Mercury : try it ! I hope those suggestions will be found interesting by the community and by David.

Or user length selectable.  I use it near exclusively & having it to be
substantially longer would be my preference.  That way older addresses
don't drop off the list so quick.

Would like to be able to delete a message from the in-box WITHOUT having to wait for it to display.

The "do you really want to" response should be displayed, requiring another delete to complete the action.

Addition to original above:

Have discovered that by turning off preview option I can immediately delete a message.  Problem with this is that the majority of messages received are ones that I do not wish to delete.  Hence, the preview option is preferable. 

I guess what I'd really like to see is: If I hit the delete icon at any time, the display function would abort, and the option to resume the display or proceed to delete would be shown.

When you get an error that an e-mail address is already registered, it tells you so and the folder;
 but it should also tell you the Filing Tray it is inside of !

In the "About this folder" message and the send date should be using the date of the install upon the New User's system not when that message was created, "Mon, 17 Mar 2003 12:46:43 +1200" it will then appear to be freshly sent even though provided by your installation software.  Plus they then have a record as to when they started using PMail.

Have noted when doing a "SAM HALTER" train as SPAM for more than one message my PMail drops out, turns grey and is shown as 'Not Responding' for a short.  If more like maybe 3 to as many as you are wanting to train as SPAM PMail goes grey and 'Not Responding.'   The more messages the longer it will take before you may use PMail again.

 This also happens when those messages are moved to a SPAM folder, you may choose to rename so it is not at the very top area of the "Folders" panel.  Also if you are deleting multiple messages, have only noticed from the "In Box" and "SPAM HALTER" folder so far, but; probably will also happen for other Folders when multiple messages are marked for deletion.
