Moving Imap Accounts to New Server

Don't do it from within Pegasus Mail. Exit the program and use the OS to move the entire top folder down to the new server.

Hi

I have about 10 Imap accounts on a Suse Linux Server running Postfix & Dovecot.

I want to move these Imap accounts to a new ClearOs 7 server also using Imap.

Questions

1. Is it possible to "copy" an entire imap account in Pmail and "paste" it to an imap account on the new server.

Accounts vary from 50mb to 2gb each.

2. Is there another easy or better way to move the imap accounts to a new server?

Regards

Basheer

So long as the paths remain the same I suspect you won't have any problems. Have you tried copying one account (folder) across to test it?

Hi

I can't seem to find a way in pmail to copy folders.

I can copy mails but not folders.

Moving mail 1 folder at a time will be too tedious.
