Pegasus Mail Suggestions
Folder Manager - Lost Focus

Steeley,

As a long time Pegasus Mail users you probably know all of the tricks but just in case...

The "Move" toolbar button avoids the issue you posted about by opening a folder list window where you can navigate to the destination folder.  Even easier (if you prefer one less mouse click) is to hit the "M" key when a message is open or is selected in the message list.  That keystroke opens the same destination folder list window.

Hi David -

Using v4.7, (been using Pegasus for 22 years now, wow..) I have a niggly that should be easy to fix (hopefully, anyway).

When using the Folder Manager, and viewing New Messages, I typically

want to move a new message to a folder. If the destination folder is in a

filing tray, and the tray is closed, clicking on the [+] to open the

tray causes the focus of the message pane to change to the (empty) tray.

screen shot

This now requires I reselect the inbox, find the message (again), and now I can drag it to the desired folder in the tray. Cleaning out the inbox is a chore this way, if you have lots of messages and lots of folders in closed trays.

It would be a blessing if clicking on the [+] would just open the filing tray, without changing the focus on the viewed message pane & message.

(Now, if I click on the filing tray name itself and THAT changes focus, fine by me - that gives me the option to select the tray for focus if I desire.)

Another possible alternative is to make opening the filing tray only (as opposed to changing focus) if there is a message highlighted (as shown above) in the message pane - and if no message is highlighted, behavior remains as it is now.

This would make an otherwise great product even greater!
