Outgoing mail is stuck

I remember screwing around with something about time in the Core config box.  I just reinstalled the mail server, which I can do because I'm the only one using it so far, and was able to send and receive email.  So, between this and the open relay problem I had, everything appears to be working and in fine shape (cross your fingers).

Thank you so much!

I'm trying to send email from a local account to a non-local one.  The server will receive email from non-local address but when I try to send mail out it appears to just get stuck.  By stuck I mean that in the core process window under outgoing jobs the message stays at "ready".  I have a picture of it:

That is where it is "stuck".  Thank you for your help in advance.

Are you using the MercuryC or MercuryE module to deliver outgoing mail? If MercuryC, have you entered details for the relaying server in the configuration? A good idea might be to enter a log file name for the module and see what it says.

Examine the message qif file, (there is a post here on how to interpret the timers) - most likley it is sitting waiting for a timer to trigger before making a new attempt at delivering outbound.
