Pegasus drive mapping issue

Thank you.

I've put SET PMDRIVE = "G:" in my login script, and it works great.

<P>Thank you.</P> <P>I've put SET PMDRIVE = "G:" in my login script, and it works great.</P> <P>[:D]</P> <P>Mike</P>

My organisation uses Pegasus and Mercury on a mixed Windows/Netware network.

When Pegasus loads it appears to map the first available drive letter (in our case drive F) to volume SYS.

Our machines already have two local drives (C and D) and I need to keep drives E and F free for removable drives (e.g. usb).

1. Is it possible to prevent Pegasus from mapping a drive (drive G is already mapped to SYS in the login script)?

-- or --

2. Can Pegasus be forced to use a different drive?

I would appreciate any suggestions/insight.

You can set the 'first network drive' in the netware client options to be a "higher" letter like I: instead, any mappings that specify the drive letter explicitly will be fine, applications that map the first network drive will use I upwards leaving the "lower" letters free.

David, thanks.

Actually I already have first network drive set to G, but I'll try a higher letter, and for reference, our login scripts are listed below.

I think I'll try a workaround, by reassigning my DVD drive to F. This may free up D for a removable drive.

Mike.

Organization login <nobr><a class="tfTextLink" href="javascript:void(0)">script</a></nobr>:
PCCOMPATIBLE
MAP DISPLAY OFF
NO_DEFAULT
MAP G:=SYS:
MAP J:=APE:
MAP P:=SAL:

MAP ROOT H:=APE:HOME/%LOGIN_NAME

MAP INS S12:=SYS:PUBLIC
MAP INS S14:=SYS:PUBLIC/DOS
MAP INS S15:=SYS:PUBLIC/NLS
MAP INS S16:=SYS:MAIL_SYS/PMAIL

MAP DISPLAY ON

DRIVE G:

User Login Script:
EXIT

Well I was pretty sure there is an option, but both Thomas an I cannot find it documented anywhere, but here it is from the top of my head.

You can use SET PMDRIVE=<driveletter> to force Pegasus Mail to run from that drive. Of course mappings should be ok. You can set is as a dos environment variable in whatever way (login script, windows configuration etc).
