Dear PM Team,
Some time ago I realised that forwarded messages sent with the following options
- "Fwd the message without editing" or
- "Create a MIME container message"
do not show in the copyself folder (and there is no option to set the tick as well). Copyself is ON by default in my options settings. However, as it is also indicated under that header that the default settings are for "new messages" and "replies" and I am not sure whether this is actually a bug or wanted feature.
I feel that it is important to keep a track record of all messages sent even when they are basically only a fwd ("bounce"). I know that as a work around e.g. such as a permanent Bcc would also do the job in providing such a record trace. However couldn't those messages be included in the copyself as well?
Cheers
Thomas

For forwarding without editing, this has been discussed on the beta team and David Harris' comment was that you don't actually send the message yourself. Even on the receiving end, your name will not show up without looking at the raw view. Compare: When you have a closed snail mail envelope and just change the address to someone else and put ut back in the mail you can not keep a copy of the content (as the envelope is closed). And such.....
Message properties are changed to indicate that the message is forwarded, though.
For the mime container there is a technical reason, like you have to enter the subject and cannot add content.
